Zhodnocení využití a významu plemenného hřebce 2691 Streimur v chovu slezského norického koně
Vraždová, Monika
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis was to evaluate the quality of the offspring of the stallion 2691 Streimur in the breeding of the Silesian Noriker horse. The basic material was the data on the stallion 2691 Streimur, on his offspring and the data of the offspring´s mothers, which were transcribed into Excel format and supplemented with the results of performance tests, body measurements and coloration. Statistical analysis was based on paired t-test between values of mothers and offspring, one-sample t-test of values of mares from offspring and average breeding standard for mares, and finally one-sample t-test between values of stallions from offspring and values of father. In the statistical evaluation of the paired t-test of the values of the mothers with the values of the offspring, a statistically significant difference was found only in the values of the class, when the offspring showed a better evaluation than the mothers. When statistically comparing the average values of the mares from the offspring with the average breeding standard for mares, there was a statistically significant difference in all monitored properties (KVP, KVH, OH and OHOL), the progeny demonstrably showed greater values than in the average breeding standard. In the statistical comparison of the average values of the stallions from the offspring and the values of the stallion 2691 Streimur, there was a statistically significant difference for all, except KVP. The stallion 2691 Streimur, unlike most mothers, improved the class of the offspring.

The bachelor thesis describes the history and breeding of the Czech-Moravian Belgian horse breed. Its development, current rearing and areas of its use. This breed is also referred to as the Belgian horse, or the Belgian draft horse is the most common breed of cold-blooded horses. Part of the bachelor thesis is an analysis of the frequency of use of stallions in insemination. Stallions in Tlumačov and Písek stud farms were monitored. Data collection took place in the case of Tlumačov between 2009 and 2020. Data for the years 2012 to 2019 were collected in the Písek. The percentage of conception of these stallions was evaluated. There were 11 stallions working in the stud farm in Písek, with which a total of 176 mares were inseminated. The average conception in this stud farm is 58.86 %. There were 9 stallions in Tlumačov, with which 200 mares were inseminated, with an average conception value of 68.90 %
RŮSTOVÉ PARAMETRY DOMÁCÍCH PLEMEN CHLADNOKREVNÝCH KONÍ
POLÍČEK, Blahoslav
The aim of this work was to assess and evaluate, using own findings, the growth standard for all 3 breeds of cold-blooded horses. The height at the withers (KVH) and shin circumference (Ohol) were evaluated. All the information was obtained from the ASCHK CR database, Central Horse Register and own measurements. The Brody method was used to calculate the growth curve. Individual growth curves of the stallions of Czech-Moravian Belgian horse (ČMB), Norik (N) and Silesian norik (SN) breeds, which were bred in the years 2001 to 2016 in rearing stables, were processed. In total, the growth parameters of 157 stallions were processed (56 stallions ČMB, 47 stallions N and 54 stallions SN. It was found, that the growth standards used so far, do not fully correspond to the current growth of cold-blooded horses. The current growth is more intense in the parameter of the height at the withers (KVH) and is on average 2.2 cm higher for ČMB, 0.9 cm for N and 0.5 cm for SN. More intensive growth was also found in the circumference of the shin (Ohol), namely by 0.3 cm for ČMB, 1.0 cm for N and 0.6 cm for SN, compared to the current standard of the breeds. There was a statistically significant difference in these body dimensions between breeds of stallions at the age of 30 months. The new growth standards were developed, separately for all 3 monitored breeds, which is the main part of this thesis.

My diploma thesis with title Mapping the current situation of breeding the Czechomoravian Belgian Draft Horse (hereinafter ČMB) analyzes the current situation in this breed. I focused on the composition of the ČMB breed, its characteristics and existing difficulties with the breeding on the beginning. I chose questionnaire for the mapping of the current situation in practical part of my diploma thesis. The targeting group were owners, breeders and holders of any gender and any number of ČMB breed horses. Due to this resource I have got the current information about the situation. Thanks to the questionnaire I was searching and getting the numbers of horses owned by one person, the age of the horses, evidence and reason of breeding the ČMB, work in the forest, establishment of the breeding, mating the mares, requests for stallions, breeding, foals, subsidy programs and planning of breeders in 2017. I analyze and summarize the information which I have got from the questionnaires and described the results.

This bachelor thesis solves and evaluates the use of heavy horses in skidding timber in the certain forest property among 2010–2018 years and it compares them with other methods of skidding operations used in forestry. Description of local conditions is the part of the thesis – especially natural conditions, which influence the operations associated with logging and transporting in the interested area importantly. The theoretical part explains the basic terms relate to solved issues. Data processing of the forest management plan and interviews with local foresters were primary for the practical part. The interviews with local coachmans were important too. It was found, the heavy horses participated 19.5% portion on the total skidding timber.
Změny mechaniky pohybu koně v tahu při různé zátěži

Cold-blooded horses find their use at present mainly in tensile work in forest stands. Motion mechanics plays the key role in estimating their potential for performing this activity. Subsequently, it is used in their selection and reproduction. In the process, applied load the horse is working with significantly influences the characteristics of a movement. Therefore, for horses doing tensile work, an objective assessment of their movement mechanics is important, not only during demonstration but also under a changing load. The aim of this study was to prepare and evaluate an experiment for assessing the quantitative characteristics of motion mechanics (step length, action height and running speed) of a cold-blooded horse with no load and with a load of different weight using videographic kinematic analysis. The data obtained were statistically processed to assess changes in step length, action height and running speed depending on the changing load. The results of our experiment showed that the step length decreases with increasing weight of the load. From an average value of 1.94 m at run without a load, it drops to an average value of 1.02 m at a maximum monitored load of 500 kg. A high dependence (r=-0.93) of the step length reduction on the tensile load was found. The dependence is strongly evincible (p<0.001). Changes in action height with increasing load weight are different for the forelimb and rear limb. The forelimb has an almost constant value (~ 0.08m) and no dependence (p=0.977) on the changing weight of the load has been demonstrated. The rear limb shows a strong correlation (p<0.001) to the increasing weight of the load. The correlation coefficient r=0.52 indicates only a slight dependence. This difference can be explained by different function and construction of the limb. The running speed derived from the horizontal marker from the tracking mark on the back is uniform in all observed cases and decreases from 1.95 m.s-1 to 1.19 m.s-1 with increasing weight of the load. The dependence is strongly evincible (p<0.001) and the correlation coefficient of r=-0.94 indicates a strong dependence. The results obtained from the horizontal head velocity component are very well matched to the spine results. The results provided by this method can be an invaluable tool in objective detection of utility and breeding potential of cold-blooded horse in tensile work. Based on these findings, we can recommend further development of videographic kinematic analysis application to objectify the evaluation of quantitative characteristics of motion mechanics for zootechnical and breeding practice.

TAUŠEK, Václav
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyze historical and present situation of cold-blooded horses breed in Czech republic suitable for forestry and agricultural usage. In concrete breeds of noriker, silesian noriker and czech-moravian belgian horses. Analysis of current status was in general made by collecting data from "List of stallions" and online herd book of cold-blooded horses breeded in Czech republic since 1995 till 201. It was found that cold-blooded horse breed in Czech republic slowly declines in noriker and czech-moravian belgian horse breed. The only breed which is slowly rising is silesian noriker. Analysis of stallions citizenship to ancestor lines showed diferent frequencies in those linese. For sustainable status of cold-blooded horses usable in forestry was recommended to focus on work opportunities, appropriate pay rates for coachmen, economic profitability of horse breeding, coachman education and care of breeding organization about performance tests and character traits of cold-blooded horses.

PISCOVÁ MANDOVÁ, Paulína
The most common breed of coldblooded horses in the Czech Republic are the Czech-Moravian Belgian horse, Silesian noriker and Noriker. Evaluation of the mechanics of movement is an important part of the estimation of their potential use for work, breeding value and possibly for sport. The aim of this study was to assess the evaluation mechanics of movement in walk and trot used in the Czech Republic. Afterwards, we evaluate the possibility of using objective methods and their effectiveness in breeding practice. Within the literature review there have been described the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the musculoskeletal system of horses that directly define their movement abilities. Furthermore, the most important breeds of coldblooded horses in the Czech Republic were characterized and then there was an overview of the characteristics of movement prepared, the methods of evaluation and comparison of the methods used in foreign breeder's associations. From the objective evaluation methods, the mechanics of movement has been selected a video graphic kinematic analysis, which is the best breeding practice exercisable. At a minimum cost, we could perform this analysis even under normal conditions for Czech farmers. The methodology of measurement was proven with an emphasis on the use of the data obtained from the objective evaluation of the mechanics of movement of coldblooded horses. Of the identified knowledge under certain circumstances we may recommend this method as a useful supplement to established evaluation methods in zootechnical practice.
